One simple text, that brought me to tears.
How can we stay grounded during the month of December? These 3 tips I offer aren’t ‘expert’ advice but rather things that have worked for me; and I hope you find some value here too.
As women, we are wired for heart work. It’s in our bones, our DNA, our brain physiology.
The thing is, all of the nurturing, the caring for, the holding space, the holding together - it takes its’ toll. Often, we view rest as a reward at the end of pushing ourselves to almost complete exhaustion. We feel guilty about it. We resist it. There’s always something to do on our to-do lists, and if we aren’t doing them, who will?
Kids just get it. They really get it.
Their little minds, still full of wonder and creativity, feel at ease in the present moment. The present moment feels like ‘home’ for them. As we age, and our prefrontal cortex develops, we lose touch with those creative, right brain tendencies. We attach more and more to belief systems, fears, and expectations.
That simple bedtime Q & A with my son reminded me of three things that I think we all need to remind ourselves of:
Ever since I can remember, I’ve experienced profound, synchronistic moments in my life . Unbelievable, and almost magical, moments.
They’ve offered me the gift of peace and a sense of deep knowing that there is a force greater than ourselves at work here. That force, I whole-heartedly believe, is the essence of love.
The degree to which we love someone or something is directly proportional to the degree of pain and grief we feel when that someone or something leaves us.
Before looking ahead to new year’s goals, resolutions, promises and commitments we must first leave behind that which is not serving us. Here are 5 things to ditch before heading into 2020!

There are times in our lives where we are called to be courageous. Times where we need to dig deep, sink our heels in, and do the heavy lifting in life.
You must remember spending your Saturday mornings watching Cheer Bear, Share Bear, and Funshine Bear radiate cheer, love and joy from their bellies? What if I told you that we have a similar super power as these furry little fictional bears?

My stained, scratched and chippy "old faithful". Its' message is really simple, but yet so not. Instead of a period at the end of that statement I feel for most of us, it's a question mark. From day one it's always been a question mark. At least it's been for me.
