Care Bear Countdown

I can hear the jingle from the 80’s retro cartoon in my head as I type tonight’s journal entry...“Do the Care bears count down..5,4,3,2,1.” (I'm betting you sang that!)  One of my fondest memories from my childhood was playing with the home sewn Care bears my mom made for us as young girls.  You must remember spending your Saturday mornings watching Cheer Bear, Share Bear, and Funshine Bear radiate cheer, love and joy from their bellies?  What if I told you that we have a similar super power as these furry little fictional bears? 

Have you ever met someone and just KNEW right away that you were drawn into the energy they brought into the room?  It’s like this force of magnetism that attracts you to wanting to be around them just because it feels so positive to be in their space – you can’t explain it really, but you certainly can feel it.  Each of us our own electromagnetic field around our heart, in fact it’s the largest field of the body, at 60x greater than that of your brain waves.    The energy from the electromagnetic field of our heart is emitted to our surroundings. In fact, studies by the HeartMath Institute show this powerful electromagnetic field can be detected and measured several feet away from a person’s body and between two individuals in close proximity.   The study goes on to explain that a transference of this electromagnetic energy from the heart occurs between two people.  

So picture your heart energy kind of like the Care bear stare! 

Our energy is most certainly contagious and has the power to influence the energy of others so remember that the next time you walk into a room.   Now if that isn’t cool, I’m not sure what is!
