HeartTalk - A podcast with everyday people, and everyday stories of all matters of the heart.
Welcome to the HeartTalk podcast, a space for real and relatable heart to heart conversations no matter your age or stage of life.
I’m Laura Lawrence, and I’m passionate about creating meaningful connections for others that supports mental and emotional wellness; helping you navigate through both the hard and hope-filled seasons of life.
I’m a small town, Saskatchewan farm girl, who stepped away from a 15 year teaching career to pursue a new path steeped in alternative therapies, conscious living and mental wellness. I grew a successful wellness practice, offering complimentary therapies and now I work from home, as a successful best-selling author and public speaker.
I’ve written three children’s books; Lily’s Loud Mouth Elliot’s Rainbow Rollercoaster and Lily’s Heavy Heart. I launched my first adult book, Behind Closed Doors: Memoirs of Motherhood, Marriage and Mental Health in 2023. I am also the founder and CEO of a non-profit organization called YOUth Matter Canada with a goal of continuing to serve and support youth and families in their mental and emotional wellness.
Two things that are inevitable in this life are love and pain. We can’t have one without the other. Community, connection and conversation are the foundations that help us heal our hearts. They are the safe places to land, when life throws us unexpected curveballs and brings us to our knees. In this journey of life, we are all just doing the best that we can, with the tools that we have.
Whether you’re looking for a space to laugh, learn or escape the everyday stress for just a few minutes, the HeartTalk podcast offers something for everyone.
Heart to heart,
Laura
